History of wine
Grapes for the production of Vosne-Romanee wine are harvested by hand, double selection and comb separation of 95% of the crop are used. Cold maceration is carried out for 4-5 days, after which the wine is fermented in oak barrels, daily pizhazh and repair. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 18-20 months. Before bottling, the wine is not clarified or filtered, therefore, over the years, sediment may form on the bottom of the bottle.
About producer
The domain of Jean Grivault dates back to the end of the 18th century when Joseph Grivault organized a wine company in a place called Von Romane, and his son Gaston set about developing production. Gaston Grivo was also one of the first oenologists to graduate from the University of Dijon, where his son Jean later studied.
