History of wine
After harvesting, the berries are subjected to cold maceration on the skin for 6 days. This is followed by slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28°C with daily pumping of the wort. Malolactic fermentation and aging of wine for several months are carried out in steel vats.
Bodegas Nekeas is a small cooperative established in 1990 in the North of Navarre in the Nekeas river valley. In its work, the cooperative relies on the experience of eight families of winemakers. Thanks to its excellent location and climate, the Neceas valley is one of the best agricultural areas in Spain, where quality wine and olive oil are produced. The cooperative has 213 hectares of its own vineyards, which are located at an altitude of 450-650 meters above sea level.
