History of wine
The vineyard on limestone and red clay spreads on 3 hectares. Harvested by hand, all varieties go under combined vinification. Before fermentation a short maceration is carried out in concrete vats and after fermentation the wine is kept in the same concrete vats for 4 years.
Domaine Milan was created in 1956Henri took over in 198610 hectares of vineyards host varieties such as Grenache, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Muscat, Rolle, Roussanne, Mourvedre, Chardonnay, and Cinsault. Henri decided to make the best wines in his part of Provence, and he achieved the desired, no one believed in the potential of the spurs of the mountain massif Alpilles. In order not to take away the terroir Henri Milan does not use cultured yeast and does not add anything to the wine. Only some wines are made with adding sulfur.
